Hello. I live in northern Michigan and my family and I are stuggling terribly. I've been sick with esophageal cancer for a few months now and haven't worked in a while. My wife just started a new job,and won't get paid until May 15th. I am so sick and weak. I've lost 50 pounds. I've applied for social security and haven't heard anything yet. We applied for State Disability aid and State emergency relief, both of which were denied. We have 3 young children as well. They did give us a small amt. Of food stamps and medicaid. I have maybe 2 yrs to live. And now we are about to be homeless. I owe my landlord 500.00 and he is steaming mad! The rent is due on the 15th of the month. Now I've called every church,private organizations on been turned away. Please help us we are good people I cannot have my kids in a mini van. They are sweet wonderful kids. I can't believe that 500 bucks is causing all this. I've gone so far as to look for loan sharks online but they only exist on reruns of the Sopranos! Thanks for any help !

Hello, You are right. There are alot of scamming people out there. Back in 87 I got scammed out of 50 bucks. Get this the guy even was at my house. Never heard from him again. Tried calling left messages but never got a reply back. When ever someone asks for an up front fee it usually is not legit. I am wishing you and your family all the best.

This is so stressful. I take about 30 different pills a day. I'm weak, sick and tired all the time. Now we are getting evicted. I need 500 quick. If it was just me I would go live in my van but I have little kids who depend on me to keep them safe and keep a roof over their head modest won't help because I have no bank account. I closed it 2 months ago. If I had money in the bank I'd have my rent paid right? The landlord won't give me any more time. What am I gonna do? Nobody will loan me the money. Please help me somehow

I would try to reason with your landlord and see if he can't give you more time..Contact Salvation Army and call 211 and ask for about temporary cash assistance if they have it in your state. 

You can check my blog for more information. I just learned that someone really two people had been homeless with children and stayed at the Salvation Army shelter which helped them get back on their feet. And both said they were treated well and it wasn't as bad as they had imagine. It is strange if you are about to be homeless or homeless and want section 8 housing it moves pretty quick to get you to a low income apartment at times especially if you have children. I would look into applying for housing and I think I have that in my blog or look for other states in my blog say rental help and there is a section where you can search for other states too.
